Do our cities adapt to Change?
Do our cities adapt to Change?
Created for our annual collaboration with The Drawing Board, a design competition by Rohan Builders and The Mindspace Architects, this comic explores how cities and urban spaces can become more flexible and responsive to cultural events.
Taking the example of the Pandharpur Wari, an annual pilgrimage in Western India, the comic looks at how large cultural gatherings temporarily transform streets, public spaces, movement patterns, and everyday urban life.
Through storytelling, it asks whether our cities are designed only for routine use, or whether they can adapt to festivals, pilgrimages, and collective cultural practices that are deeply connected to how people experience space.
