Gender in a City

Created in collaboration with Social Design Collaborative, CREADHLE, Institut Francais, Alliance Francaise Inde, and Mist LGBTQ Foundation for the Bonjour India 2022 project City for All?, this series of webcomics was developed as part of the project’s social media engagement and public communication.

The comics used everyday urban situations to ask who our cities are really designed for. Through simple and relatable storytelling, the series highlighted how public spaces, streets, transport, and infrastructure often serve only a few, while gender-diverse communities, older people, children, women, disabled people, and other groups continue to face barriers in accessing and experiencing the city.
