Learning from the Canal de l’Ourcq
Learning from the Canal de l’Ourcq
Travel Workshops
As part of the Indo-French workshop, architecture students from BVCOA, CAT Trivandrum, and ENSAPLV studied the Canal de l’Ourcq in Paris through one intensive studio. The workshop explored the canal as an urban edge shaped by mobility, public life, water, infrastructure, neighbourhood change, and everyday use.
Leewardists supported the studio by helping students structure their research, sharpen their narratives, and communicate their ideas through clearer presentations and visual storytelling. The focus was on translating site observations and urban questions into accessible formats that could be understood by a wider audience.
