What time is this place? - Proposal

In collaboration with Ar. Jayesh Ganesh and our friends at BBLOX Design, Bengaluru, we proposed an installation for the Panjim Cube Project, Serendipity Arts Fest.

On the outside, the cube is an abstract rendering of a building in Fontainhas. It is imagined as an object of perfect platonic proportions painted in the original four colours (laterite red & yellow, indigo blue and sea green) of the Latin Quarter. The object seeks to inspire familiarity of the generic.

On the inside, it replicates in fine detail but through artistic sketch-work, the much loved and deeply idiosyncratic elements of the traditional Goan home. The artwork seeks to inspire nostalgia of the specific.
